Accounts Payable Clerk Part-Time

TransEd Valley line LRT is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team of Rail Professionals on a part-time basis.

Who we are

TransEd Valley Line LRT is the first phase of the Valley Line project in Edmonton. Connecting Millwoods to downtown Edmonton, the valley line allows commuters to go from the South East of Edmonton to anywhere the LRT stops.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payment including adhering to payment terms
• Completing payments and controlling expenses processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor's or equivalent education
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency in utilizing accounting softs (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word and outlook)
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes
