Journeyman/woman Electrician

Journeyman/Foreman required!

Job Description:

In and out of town work – throughout Alberta

· Ability to run a crew while completing a turnkey commercial building

· Ability to work with all types of electrical systems

· Fire Alarm experience a strong asset

· Aptitude in reading blueprints and specifications

· Possess knowledge of building applications

· Effective at problem-solving

· Basic computer knowledge and skills

· Ability to work alone or as a member of a team

· Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner

· Physical strength and endurance commensurate to the job

· Health and safety awareness

· Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle

· A criminal record check will be required

· Providing on-site direction and leadership to complete jobs within specific guidelines

· Ensure quality standards, time requirements and budget considerations.

· Responsible planning, customer relations, material management, and quality control

· Responsible for mentoring electrical Apprentices

· Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)

Job Duties:

· Install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical systems including fire alarm systems in all types of buildings, structures, and premises.

· Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings, specifications, as well as applicable codes

· Efficiently plan and execute installations

· Install low voltage cabling

· Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety

· Familiarity working with generators an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $37.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (required)
