POSITION SUMMARY:

Conducts the installation and maintenance of the electrical and automation equipment and technology affairs of the organization(s) and assists the Plant Manager and Project Manager in preparing analyses of electrical and automation equipment and machinery. Including schedules, maintenance costs, operational efficiencies for the guidance of Senior Management.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the company’s electrical and automation equipment & technology installation and maintenance practices. This includes assisting the VP of Technology in design, construction, and commissioning of new equipment/technology. The Journeyman Electrician is also responsible for the conduct of its relationships with equipment and parts suppliers, the maintenance of existing equipment and the preparation reports on potential new equipment purchases.

The Journeyman Electrician has the responsibility for providing effective electrical and equipment purchase, process, and operation for the organization.

The position involves supervision over: All installation and maintenance for electrical and automation equipment & technology, including plant maintenance staff.

PLANNING

Is required to work alongside Plant Managers to facilitate any plant shutdowns to ensure maximum efficiency while workers are performing installation and maintenance duties, as well as plan for: integration of new equipment, technologies, or processes into existing production systems.

MANAGEMENT

The Journeyman Electrician supports all installation and maintenance operations in all departments of CRHC. Jobs/tasks associated to this includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Electrical and Automation Equipment/Technology maintenance

• Overview of all electrical and automation maintenance operations

• Assisting in budgetary planning for equipment installation and maintenance

• Assist with equipment creation

• Third party work planning/coordination

• Ensure schedules and timelines kept on track

• Assist to Approve electrical and automation equipment prior to implementation

• Commission new electrical and automation equipment

Installation and maintenance program for equipment & technology to appraise operating results in terms of reliability, performance, and other matters bearing on the operating effectiveness of the organization.

The Journeyman Electrician will support and conduct all installation and maintenance of existing electrical and automation equipment in all facilities. This will include preventative/ simple maintenance procedures and significant work that is required. CRHC will expect the Journeyman Electrician to assist in maintenance planning as well as physically repair/maintain electrical and automation equipment, to ensure equipment is properly installed and maintained in a timely manner.

CRHC will be responsible for determining Journeyman Electrician priorities if duties extend pass planned and imminent install and maintenance requirements, to ensure optimal use of time & resources.

Assist in Design of a maintenance program to effectively optimize new and existing electrical and automation equipment.

Will assist in being responsible for evaluating the performance of other personnel in the Electrical and Automation Department.

• Implement and support Canadian Rockies Hemp Corp.’s electrical and automation equipment & technology installation and maintenance processes and procedures

• Timeliness, completeness, and effectiveness, and on budget for the design/build of new technology and equipment

• Operational effectiveness of both purchased and designed equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Journeyman Tradesperson – Electrical

• High School Diploma

ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years in many aspects of Electrical and/or Automation of equipment & technology

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $38.00-$52.50 per hour
