Duties:
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components such as motors, switches, circuit breakers, and transformers
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with low voltage systems and logic controllers is highly desirable
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
