LEGAL ASSISTANT II

This position is required to work in the Camrose branch office.
However, periodically may be asked to work in other AFSC branches. Travel in these circumstances will be reimbursed according to AFSC's Employee and Board of Directors Expense Policy.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Loan Compliance under the direction of the Legal Assistant III, the Legal Assistant II performs paralegal work relating to security documentation and inherent statutory and procedural requirements by checking, maintaining, and revising AFSC's loan security and all related documents in accordance with AFSC's policies and procedures and accepted legal practice.

•Involvement in departmental and cross-departmental committees and projects
What will you be responsible for?
•Review, draft, register and ensure accuracy of security
•Research various internal and external resources to establish practical solutions for complex problems
•Ensure disbursement requirements are met prior to funding
• Administer loan renewals
•Work closely with Lenders to ensure accuracy of loan details

• In-depth working knowledge of the Land Titles Registry, Personal Property Registry, legal documents submitted to AFSC by other creditors and their agents and loan security

Qualifications
Minimum: Related Diploma and one (1) year related experience and candidates may be considered based on a combination of education and related experience.
