Legal Assistant (Part-Time)

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Legal Assistant to a single lawyer focused on wills and estates. This position is for Thursdays and Fridays only.

Responsibilities:

• General office support, which includes filing, copying, preparing documents for signing, file opening and maintenance
• Attend client meetings to sign estate planning and estate administration documents
• Client relations, arranging appointments and client meetings, diarizing files, and client follow-up

Must-Have:

• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-Have:

• Legal Assistant Diploma
• Experience in a law office
• Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
