Legal Business Partner

Reporting to the Vice-President, Legal Affairs, the Legal Business Partner provides legal leadership through pragmatic legal advice to the different business teams and functions in all aspects of legal oversight, governance, and risk management of the company, in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as subject matter expert and resource to diverse cross-functional teams to provide legal advice and guidance on various projects, including relating to access to innovative therapies, implementation of digital solutions, contractual matters, and strategic partnerships with a view to positively impact the healthcare system. Liaise and collaborate with internal local, regional, and global functions regarding same, as necessary.
• Manage the legal and contractual aspects relating to the commercialization of innovative therapies, including all-encompassing support in the day-to-day activities of the various therapeutic areas and functions, as per needs identified.
• Play a leading role in risk management, raise business awareness of legal issues, provide training in specific legal areas, promote high ethical standards, and stay abreast of regulatory developments.

Essential Requirements:
• Bachelor of Law Degree (BCL and/or LL.B).
• Licensed to practice law in the province of Quebec or another Canadian jurisdiction.
• 7 - 12 years’ experience in commercial law in a law firm or as in-house counsel.
Bilingual, French and English, both written and oral.
Desirable Requirements:
• A Masters in life sciences or business administration degree.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or high-tech industry or another highly regulated industry.
