Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to recipes or instructions
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and fryers
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management when items are running low
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment after each use
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food quality, sanitation, and safety
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
