Golden Hills Lodge in Three Hills Alberta is seeking a progressive individual to help us continue our mission to provide outstanding service, that preserves the dignity and promotes the independence, of the seniors we serve in our 84-suite lodge.
The Lodge Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the lodge. The successful candidate will bring their operations, people management and customer service expertise to the position to support the development of a dynamic high functioning team. This position requires continuous engagement with staff and residents. Essential to this role is the use of successful leadership skills in the interactions with residents, families, staff, our partners, and the public.
The Lodge Manager is responsible for being knowledgeable about, and compliant with, the organization’s existing policies and procedures, the Alberta Housing Act, all Alberta Employment Standards, OH&S, and human rights legislation.
The Lodge Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the facility including, resident selection and placement, scheduling, orientation, and evaluation of employees. Experience and knowledge of supportive living, food service, laundry and linen services are considered an asset.
Having a minimum of three to five years’ experience and knowledge in the management of staff and budgets is essential.
The Lodge requires a person with attributes of strong leadership, fairness and just treatment together with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. A measurable understanding of the aging process is expected. You will also have a demonstrated and sincere commitment to a healthy and professional work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
· Certificate, diploma or degree in Management would be considered an asset. (equivalent experience will also be considered)
· 3 to 5 years’ experience and knowledge in the management of staff and budgets is essential.
· In-depth knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights Legislation, OH&S code and Alberta Housing Act are essential.
