Maintenance Clerk

Job Description:

• Ship, deliver or pick up parts, products, or equipment.
• Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use.
• Receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials.
• Process incoming requisitions, prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies, and send appropriate paperwork to the accounting department.
• Follow-up damaged parts received from suppliers/vendors and request replacement and/or credit.
• Research and contact vendors to request quotes for supplying various parts and services.
• Work with other department managers to address priority maintenance issues.
• Research and contact vendors for supplying various parts and services.
• Track daily contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
• Maintain records on inventory control system.
• Answer emails, telephone inquiries, and relay messages.
• Weight Handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Perform other administrative and general tasks as they arise.

Qualification:

• Knowledge of TSSA and tracking yearly Health & Safety inspection
• Ability and/or knowledge to learn maintenance requirements in the food industry.
• Must have reliable vehicle and be willing to drive to vendors as required.
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written are a requirement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills·
• Good research skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Plant environment – cold, noisy, and busy.
• PPE required when on plant floor.
