Minimum Credentials: Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent experience required, electrical/mechanical knowledge and certification (Journeyman Millwright).

Experience Required:

• A minimum experience of 2 years in food industry.
• Knowledge of food safety (HACCP/SQF), basic workplace safety/accident investigation, computer skills including Excel and Outlook.

Starting Wage: Starting from $25/hour (to be negotiated)

Vacation Paid: 2 weeks per year.

Objective: The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the safe operation and care taking (maintaining) of all equipment in all departments, complete building/structures withing the building, all three lots and any personnel within the Maintenance department.

Main Responsibilities:

Schedule, implement, develop, and enforce an active Preventative Maintenance program.

Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Semi Annual/Annual Maintenance

• Tracking/data entry/verification of maintenance work completed.
• Ensuring quality and food safety is maintained/enforced with standards set.
• Train maintenance personnel to complete tasks in proper time frames.

Project management

• Research, investigate, manage, cost, and track all maintenance projects.
• Liaise with Operation Manager and Production Manager and at times Food Safety Coordinator or Food Safety Manager.

Personnel

• Schedule, develop, train, evaluate, trouble shoot/solve issues for and with personnel within maintenance department.
• Train and support production supervisor/lead hands, best handling, and operational practices of all machines

Inventory Control

• Liaise with Operations manager for maintenance parts, requirements of ordering and timelines.

Occupational Health and Safety

• Ensure planned maintenance is instituted with the health and safety of every employee in the forefront.
• Maintain and enforce use of modified program.
• Ensure and enforce all lock out and Health and safety procedures.

Food Safety

• Ensure and maintain that all staff within your department are trained and operating under Food Safety program (SQF & HACCP).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
