On-site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

The Role

This role requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedures and is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse and challenging environment at General Motors Canada as the company transitions into new products that meet our goals of “Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion”.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Manage all facets of Maximo including user support, software upgrades, report creation, software troubleshooting, workflow development.

  • Lead in data conversion and migration efforts .

  • Configure Maximo and assist in the development of interfaces to external systems.

  • Identify areas of customization and optimization and provide solutions that meet the business requirements.

  • Conduct system testing, as necessary.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of Maximo, SAP interface, PTPM&C Interface

  • Demonstrated understanding of SeQent Team Call Software, SeQent First Page Software, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos / Cognos Analytics, SQL (Structured Query Language), EZ Max Mobile, Motorola Transmitter, Motorola Radios, Samsung Tablet interface.
