Location: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment; working remote as well as at the closest office location.

About the opportunity

The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in the success of the Business Development team and is an extension of our direct sales force. The BDR Manager is responsible for the successful Onboarding and Training of newly hired BDRs as well as coaching current BDR team members that may require additional skill development. The BDR will support the Ceridian North American Enterprise and Large Enterprise BDR teams and will coach, mentor, onboard and provide guidance to team members. The BDR Manager will participate in management and planning activities with the BDR Leadership team.

What you’ll get to do

  • Coach and mentor BDRs to exceed monthly First Call and pipeline targets by identifying strengths that can leveraged and weaknesses that can be improved upon
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with new and existing BDRs to review progress and to establish action plans.
  • Track BDR activity to ensure weekly outreach (phone calls, emails, LinkedIn Inmails and Sendoso) targets are exceeded
  • Create action plans to address deficiencies in weekly outreach numbers as well as First Calls.
  • Coach BDRs how to effectively work with their MARs to have a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Coach BDRs on talk tracks and redirects and how to craft professional, effective email and InMail messaging
  • Coach BDRs on how to think strategically when approaching the territory.

Skills and experience we value

  • Minimum 1 year experience in either a Business Development or Sales role
  • Preferred previous team leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Strong business acumen, written and oral presentation skills
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Distinctive problem‐solving skills and very strong analyst capabilities
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to resolve conflict in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Comfortable collaborating with teams and individuals across business units
