The Central Alberta FASD Network is a non-profit organization offering community-based, cost-free programming for individuals impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), their caregivers and the community. We are part of a system wide FASD Network model that has made Alberta a leader in service delivery, both in Canada and internationally. We offer education, prevention, assessment and diagnosis, and outreach and support services. We are seeking to fill a full-time, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator position for our Red Deer office.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized Marketing and Social Media specialist to join our growing team. The role of the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator provides brand management support and assists with the implementation of marketing, public relations, advertising, and promotional strategy for the organization.
Summary of Duties:
· Build and execute Social Media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
· Designing and developing collateral materials for Fundraising/Resource Development.
· Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling.
· Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily (original text, images, video, and HTML).
· Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging.
· Create and maintain company Social Media pages and profiles.
· Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on company and community policies.
· Create and implement Social Media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
· Track and analyze analytics reports, to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
Education and Qualifications:
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field, or equivalent.
· 2+ years' experience in digital Marketing and Social Media.
· Strong familiarity with the business applications of Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
· Knowledge of project management and web design best practices.
· Understanding of Social Media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of Social Media campaigns.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains confidentiality, with sensitivity to issues of disability and diversity.
- A vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license.
The position is 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday; flexibility will be required and the capacity to work occasional evenings and weekends.
