Marketing Intern

Responsibilities:

• Assist digital and social marketing efforts, online advertising, search engine optimization (SEO) and website maintenance
• Development of marketing communication assets and sales tools
• Mine and analyze research and trends to support recommendations
• Review research and insights to identify trends and opportunities
• Conduct competitor assessments: products and/or Marketing communications (social)
• Coordinate and support marketing events, trade shows or promotional activities
• Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to marketing campaigns, contributing to the overall creativity of the team
• Business management and administrative tasks to support the business

Potential Projects:

• Support execution of digital and social marketing plans
• Website updates
• Develop marketing assets and sales tools eg. sales sheets
• Contribute to the development of sales and/or customer presentations
• Competitive analysis (product and digital/social)
• Sales support as needed
• Assess current digital footprint and social plans and provide recommendations/opportunities for driving awareness with younger demographic
• Work on our Syndigo platform and customer branded platforms to increase our digital/ecomm presence with our FS and Retail customers

Basic Qualifications:

• Working towards a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Collaborative, flexible, positive and ability to work well cross-functionally
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong written, oral and presentation skills
• Time management, project management and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Program Eligibility:

• Must be able to work full-time for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
• Must be able to work from the Brantford office, Monday-Thursday with the flexibility to work remotely each Friday.
• Must pass pre-employment criminal background check with satisfactory results.

Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
