Who We Are
ICBA Alberta is a chapter of the BC-based Independent Contractors and Business Association, the largest construction association in Canada with more than 4,000 clients and members to whom we provide advocacy, training, mental health and wellness programs, as well as group benefits which support nearly 170,000 people across the country.
We are champions of construction – the men and women who help build Alberta and Canada, and the leaders, entrepreneurs and investors who take risk to create the jobs and opportunities for the over 20,000 open-shop construction companies in Alberta who employ nearly 200,000 Albertans.
While only a year old in Alberta, ICBA has nearly a 50-year history in British Columbia providing best in class services to merit construction companies - most recently we became the number one sponsor of apprentices, including female and indigenous apprentices, in BC. We’re excited to be bringing that expertise and commitment to excellence to Alberta.
In addition to our public policy advocacy work and training services, ICBA Alberta also provides an award-winning wellness offering. This is coupled with our group benefits division which is one of the fastest growing independent platforms in Canada.
ICBA has a progressive approach to recognizing and rewarding our employees and values dedication, determination, and teamwork and as we strive to provide an exceptional member and customer experience. We are committed to helping our people turn ambition into achievement by providing a work environment that is second to none.
