Operations Coordinator
Job Description:
The Operations Coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities. They will increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures while maintaining quality. Continuous improvement is integral to the role. The Operations Coordinator will ensure that all operations remain in compliance with all auditing, government reporting and operate within budget.
Requirements:
- Two or more years experience in the operations management role
- Flexible working hours and scheduling is required
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility
- Propose solutions, processes and ideas that will result in more efficient operations and reduction in costs
- Prepare and manage operations budget and responsible for P&L accountability at the operating level to meet profit targets
- Measure and report the effectiveness of Cogeneration, packaging and farming activities and provide input on where improvements can be made.
- Create orders and communicate with vendors for any supplies required, and manage needs to reduce excess levels on hand
- Strategically design plans around cropping, packaging and inventory to ensure best use of space and company expenditures
- Effectively design, train and communicate protocols to implement process improvements and achieve goals and objectives, and drive operational results.
- Hands-on direction of all activities to ensure customer and corporate requirement are met
- Map all farm and facility areas into zones for equipment and asset logging, assign preventative maintenance programs to equipment and ensure staff have completed in a timely manner
- Lead and manage maintenance projects, communicate, and schedule vendors and ensure work is completed to company expectations and standards
- Create training documents for new programs and equipment, train staff on new procedures and help develop documented structure and organizational tools
- Manage day to day operations of the natural gas energy generation facility, monitor activity daily and complete preventative maintenance programs. Ensure all reporting is completed in a timely manner
- Lead and manage energy saving projects and rebates. Research and evaluate new programs and ensure current programs are in compliance.
- Maintain a safe, clean and legally compliant workplace that adheres to all company policies and procedures and identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
- Maintain product quality while ensuring compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, conformance with production specs, procedures and complete and on-time delivery
- All other duties as required.
Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Proficient with using computer systems, maintaining electronic data/records.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented and able to follow through on tasks.
- Good verbal and written communicator.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
