Part-Time
Our Optometry clinic is based in the heart of Waterdown Village and has been in operation for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a Part-Time enthusiastic, self driven Optometric Assistant/Medical receptionist to work in our busy five doctor practice. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Pretest
- Pretesting patients prior to seeing their Doctor (FDT, IOPs, VA’s, VF’s etc.)
- Ocular imaging including OCT and OPTOS.
- Administering drops
- Assisting with recalls and appointment reminders
Front Desk
- Assisting with booking appointments/verifying online appointments
- Assisting with OHIP submissions/rejections
- Assisting with benefit tracking
- Processing/finalizing patients orders.
The applicant must be comfortable working closely with eyes. Our clinic specializes in Dry Eye treatments and once trained, you may be asked to complete these treatments. (e.g., ZEST treatment)
We are currently looking for someone to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday (all day) and Saturdays on rotation(1-2 a month) 8:30 AM - 12:30PM however, the applicant needs to be flexible as these days could change periodically.
**Experience in medical reception is preferred but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
