Form of work- Provides companionship and support for clients including both "awake" coverage and "resting" coverage
- Bedside sitting for clients in long term care/retirement facilities, or in private residences
- Assist clients with household tasks (ex: light meal prep and housekeeping)
- Assist clients with mobility
- Listen, observe and communicate any concerns/changes in the client's physical, emotional and/or environmental condition
Qualifications
- Compassionate with a passion for helping others
- Prior caregiving experience is an asset
- Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful and courteous manner
- Ability to speak other languages is an asset
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment

Being a Spectrum Over-night Companion is a rewarding position in which you will be able to build meaningful relationships with seniors and their families and make a real difference in their lives. In this role, you will provide respite to care givers and family members by providing over-night support for seniors in their long-term care/retirement facilities or private residence. You will provide assistance with household tasks, including light meal prep and housekeeping as well as mobility assistance and support. As a valued and trusted Over-night Companion, you will provide your clients with the best possible care and emotional support by listening, observing and communicating any concerns in the client's physical and emotional condition so that they can receive the appropriate level of care to help them stay in their home as long as possible.
