Our Kingsville Head Office Location is currently seeking a Packaging Coordinator to join our Purchasing team. The essential function of this position is responsible for ensuring packaging needs are at our growers. At the right time, right price, right place and correct quantity to mitigate dry goods inventory liability/ returns

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring packaging needs are at our growers. At the right time, right price, right place, and correct quantity to mitigate dry goods inventory liability/ returns
- Co-ordinate with planners, liaisons where necessary to ensure the packaging needs are met at our growers
- Ensure packaging requisition will not put MPL in a stock shortage or outage if shipped. Ensure proper dry goods inventory is released to growers as per MPL allocation policies
- Responsible for reviewing BI to see if any of our growers look long in dry goods inventory. This is most critical 12-16 weeks prior to end of season
- Responsible for placement of packaging commodities purchaser orders where assigned
- Responsible for getting reports from vendors to validate grower direct packaging from vendor
- Responsible for reporting, monitoring, reviewing, and tracking dry goods inventory accuracy in NAV, slow- moving dry goods inventory, and obsolete dry goods inventory
- Monitor to make sure purchase orders are being processed, and delivered on-time
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of NAV item files
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received
- Report any discrepancies or problems
- Track and ensure claims are being processed, credited etc.
- Responsible for being MPL1 courier services (Fedex) subject matter expert.
- Assist with cycle counts
- Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
- Report any product quality issues immediately to the Packaging Manager
- Transfer packaging materials back and forth between Mastronardi facilities and external growers
- Ensure a physical inventory of dry goods is completed and submitted on a weekly basis from MPL locations
- Ensure grower dry goods inventory is submitted where necessary. Weekly from MX, and once per year from CDN growers (Early September).
- Keep all company information confidential and will not disclose any company information to outside individuals
- Follow all company rules and regulations at all times
- Other duties or details may be assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School or College Diploma
- Knowledge of packaging products or related materials (related work experience)
- Valid passport and ability to Travel to MPL locations across the US and Canada
- Must be extremely organized
- Good communication skills and posses excellent inter-personal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office
- Spanish-speaking an asset
