ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO
THE SENIOR IN-HOUSE COUNSEL - DISCIPLINE
This position requires a person with organizational skills capable of accurately and efficiently performing comprehensive and complex secretarial, clerical and administrative services to support the Senior In-House Counsel of the Law Society’s discipline department under minimum supervision.
The successful candidate must have superior typing speed and accuracy and demonstrate highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French. The candidate must also demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, judgment and responsibility. The candidate must be very organized and be able to work under stressful situations and strict time limits. The list of functions is but not limited to filing, dictations, formatting and preparing of legal documents and records in preparation of a hearing.
Advanced skills in a variety of office software applications including, but not limited to, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and database management applications is required. We will ask candidates to demonstrate their written abilities in English and in French.

Ce poste exige une personne possédant des qualités d’organisation et responsabilité, capable de remplir avec précision et efficacité des services complexes et complets de secrétariat, d’écriture et d’administration afin d’appuyer l’avocat conseil principal interne du département de discipline au Barreau sous un minimum de surveillance.
La personne choisie doit posséder une vitesse élevée et une grande exactitude en dactylographie, une excellente connaissance du français et de l’anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit, de même que faire preuve d’un niveau élevé de confidentialité, de jugement et de responsabilité. La personne choisie doit être très organisée et doit avoir la capacité à travailler dans des situations de stress tout en respectant des délais serrés. La liste des fonctions comprend, sans s’y limiter, le classement, les dictées, la préparation de documents et de dossiers juridiques en vue d’une audience.
Cette personne doit posséder des aptitudes supérieures dans diverses applications de logiciels, y compris de façon non exclusive, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint et des applications de bases de données. Nous demanderons aux candidats de nous démontrer leur capacité en français et en anglais par écrit.
