We are currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Nanaimo, BC.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other administrative staff and various CPAP Clinicians across the company and its sister brands. This position is considerably varied and complex. The candidate is expected to act professionally, demonstrate initiative, and exhibit good judgment. This position interacts regularly with patients, health care professionals and physician offices; exceptional customer skills are required.
Main duties of the role:
- work independently and collaboratively with other office staff and company locations
- coordinate and schedule appointments with patients
- manage paper and online file systems and databases
- billing extended health companies; issuing invoices; following up with payment
- explain, download, review and track all sleep apnea testing / processes
- prepare reports, faxes, and follow-up for testing
- manage inventory and ensure cleanliness of medical equipment
Qualifications:
- ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication with accuracy and attention to detail
- ability to work both independently and as a team member
- exceptional computer & data entry skills
- experience in medical/other office administration an asset; no prior knowledge of Sleep Apnea is required
- additional languages are an asset
