Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, in Canadian currencies using ADP Workforce Now.
- Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments, benefits and RRSP plans using ADP Workforce Now.
- Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements (T4), RRSP, Records of Employment and other statements.
- Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay as required.
- Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payroll.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
- Other accounting duties as required.
Requirements:
· Must have 3+ years of ADP Workforce Now Experience
· Visual experience an asset
· Strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll tax, legal requirements and internal processes relating to Payroll administration
· comfortable communicating with all levels of management across various divisions and departments
· Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, organization, and accuracy.
· Fluent in English
· Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
· Must be familiar with Microsoft Office
· Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of support tasks.
· Post-Secondary education in an Accounting related field of study
