This role is Hybrid - #LI-Hybrid
Secondment/Contract Duration: Up to 6 Months
Are you results driven, self-motivated and a customer focused problem solver? Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, you will prepare and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis on various payroll, statistical and operating data while providing policy and planning support to the organization with a recommended course of action to management. You will also be involved in user/system testing, implementing new automated system solutions and daily routines.

About the Role
- Conduct and provide detailed analysis on complex organizational issues and objectives as well as develop proposals and recommendations with internal business partners.
- Research and implement enhanced functionalities and processes for the existing HCM system and processes to improve efficiency and streamline operational practices.
- Provide team guidance on daily processes, financial analysis tools, methodologies, policies and procedures to improve workday effectiveness.
- Establish relationships with internal business partners to ensure department goals are met and fully implemented.
- Contribute to the implementation of new integrations and reports which includes test scripts and testing; review existing integrations; testing of new financial systems and documenting all processes and controls.
- Contribute your expertise to daily operations, utilizing your strong analytical skills to support seamless payroll functions ensuring accurate and timely pay processing.
- Other tasks as required.
- Post-secondary education in payroll, business, or human resources, and/or equivalent working experience. Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) preferred.
- Experience with complex analysis methodology and financial processes/concepts and legislation to provide in-depth analysis and to make recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience with Workday HCM: Payroll (Canada) and strong proficiency in MS Excel, and Word.
- Systems implementation experience which includes preparing test scripts, using testing tools, documentation.
- Ability to handle many tasks and competing priorities with proficiency to employ financial analysis, reporting techniques and always be best in class.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proven track record to effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change and build and sustain business relationships.
- A fast-paced self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight timelines.
