Job Summary
Apply your expertise in program and policy analysis to support exceptional service delivery
RoadSafetyBC delivers legislation, regulation, policy and initiatives to advance its mission to improve road safety outcomes in BC. This involves collaborating closely with road safety partners such as ICBC, BC Association of Chiefs of Police, the British Columbia Automobile Association, The Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators, Doctors of BC, law enforcement and many others.
This role coordinates and leads the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for RoadSafetyBC.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics or social sciences, or a related field; and, a minimum of 2 years related experience; OR,
  • Bachelor's Degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics or social sciences, or a related field; and, a minimum of 3 years related experience; OR,
  • Diploma in in public administration, business administration, economics or social sciences, or a related field; and, a minimum of 4 years related experience;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include all the following:
  • Experience in the development of policy, regulation and/or legislation.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and completing complex projects/assignments.
  • Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Policy experience in a public sector organization.
  • Experience navigating challenging internal and external partner interactions.
  • Experience conducting policy development and research related to the Motor Vehicle Act.

About this Position:

There is currently one (1) permanent position available and one (1) temporary appointment until November 1, 2024
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
