Production Coordinator

We are specialized in rebar and have participated in many high end projects like windmills, bridges, hospitals, sports complexes, commercial and residential buildings, and other types of infrastructures.

Reporting to the Process Engineer, the Production Coordinator will be mainly responsible for scheduling the loads as well as the releases for our operations in Calgary.

Role and responsabilities:

• Schedule daily rebar loads for all construction sites within Alberta;
• Handle rescheduling requests, changes and updates;
• Export, imports & update rebar lists in the system according to the location;
• Update information in the system and create barlists for accessories;
• Communicate regularly with production and Project Managers for updates and problem
• resolution;
• Generate and maintain accuracy of KPI’S for various reports;
• Complete releases and update information in the system;
• Create control codes and update drawings;
• Assessing and coordinating rush orders;
• Control and utilization of remnants;
• Optimization or stock;
• Other administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing setting;
• Diploma in a related field (logistics, engineering) is an asset;
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Google Workspace;
• Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry;
• Ability to work under pressure, learn quickly and be detail-oriented;
• Autonomy and high level of organization;
• Good communication skills.
