Production Accounting Coordinator

Job Title: Production Accounting Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Calgary, AB
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Manager, Production Accounting

Position Overview:
This role is an integral position within our Production Accounting team and is primarily responsible for the day- to-day coordination of an Alberta and British Columbia team of full cycle production accountants.

Key Job Accountabilities:

- Lead, mentor and support a team of Production Accountants with a range of responsibilities and facilities to support the Manager and help drive team goals.

- Review plant and field processes, including measurement, to ensure compliance with governing agreements and government regulations.

- Assist and mentor team members with facility set-up, analysis of results and troubleshooting meter differences, recoveries, etc.

- Review product allocation setups as well as analysis, periodic factors, emissions, lift gas systems and swing wells.

- Address queries regarding schematics and liaise with measurement teams to ensure proper allocation.
- Coordinate month end analysis on team results.
- Communicate processes, goals and assess team capabilities to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and support government and third-party audits.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Primary Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum 15 years of applicable work experience
- Business Degree and/or CAPPA.
- Extensive knowledge of Metrix, Qbyte FM, Optix and Production Manager.

- Experience in royalty set-up and analysis.

- Experience managing a Production Accounting team.

- Analytical strength in raw data, well testing, and schematic analysis.

- Strong understanding of government directives and production allocation methods.

- Strong experience in Excel including pivot tables and lookup formulas.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, while also working within a team environment.
- Reliable and organized with the ability to manage a high-volume desk.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
