Canlin is seeking to fill a Production Accounting role within the Finance department. The selected candidate will take on the responsibility of allocating production and revenue for oil and gas properties in Alberta. We are looking for an individual to join our dynamic team of Production Accountants. Production Accounting- The Role
- Full cycle production & revenue accountingfor AB Operated gas plant and non-operated properties
- Setup and maintenance of master data in Metrixincluding new wells, market masters, and any other fixed data requirements.
- Collaborate with Measurement, Operations andEngineering teams to complete full measurement reviews of assigned assets.
- Monthly review and reconciliation of accountsreceivable
- Assist with reviewing and processing amendments.
- Respond to government, royalty, partner, andinternal stakeholders' queries.
- Review, investigate and resolve front-end Metrixsystem errors or issues.
- Assist in external audit queries related toproduction, royalties, revenue, and transportation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to otherProduction Accountants.
- Generate and analyze reports from Optix andother reporting tools for various stakeholders and purposes.
- Identify and implement process optimizations.
- Maintain good working relationships withinternal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties and special projects as required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gasproduction accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of the Metrixproduction accounting system.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Excel, including pivot tables and Vlookup, with a proven track recordof using these skills to enhance business processes and efficiencies.
- Working knowledge of Qbyte FM, Metrix, Avocet,Energylink, Petrotranz, Petrinex and Microsoft office would be an asset.
- Demonstrated history of leveraging analyticalskills to develop reports and analysis using a variety of tools for differentpurposes and stakeholders.
- CAPPA certification preferred.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting or Business isan asset.
