Accounting Assistant - Contract

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant - Contract to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our Accounting, Sales, and Production departments and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our day to day operations. The term of the contract will be until March 28, 2024, with the possibility of extension.
Administrative Duties:
-General administrative duties and reception
-Liaise with Sales, Production and Dispatch to coordinate inventory, orders, and deliveries
-Generate order confirmations and packing slips
-Record inventory transactions (production, purchase orders, receipts, shipments, transfers and adjustments)
-Coordinate and confirm customer deliveries
-Answer sales calls and process orders
Accounts Payable Duties:
-Matching invoices to purchase orders and packing slips and ensuring invoices are appropriately approved
-Invoice coding / electronic filing
-Invoice entry
-Maintaining vendor information
-Processing credit card payments as required
Accounts Receivable Duties (Assist / Cross Coverage):
-Invoice preparation and distribution
-Customer statements
-Account collections
-Recording Deposits
-Other duties as required
Experience Required:
-Customer service, switchboard and computer skills an asset
-Accounts payable experience
-Accounts receivable experience
-Experience with SAGE 300 ERP an asset
-Strong customer service focus, attention to detail
-Be friendly, outgoing, and helpful, team player, mature, and responsible
-Ability to follow direction
