Accounting Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the controller and assisting with various financial tasks.

We are looking for part-time support with the potential of transitioning to a full-time position. Days and hours worked are flexible between 8-4:30 M-F.

Duties:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and preparing payments
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Conduct research and gather data for financial reports
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
- Provide general administrative support to the office and management

Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Previous experience with QuickBooks is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
