Description:
The Production Accounting Team consists of six full-time Production Accountants and one Production. Accounting Team Lead and one Production Accounting Supervisor. Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Mon-Thurs) and 6:30 AM-2:30 PM (Fri) with every other Friday off. Occasionally month-end work deadlines may require this position to work overtime or on Stat Holidays, this is managed within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimal day-to-day supervision, workload prioritized and reviewed monthly by the Team. A mentor will be assigned to this position during the training and transition period.
- Structured day-to-day requirements and deadlines are driven by internal and external month ends such as AER reporting.
- Work closely and interface daily with Operations personnel.
- The majority of the day-to-day workload utilizes programs such as Energy Components, Ph.D., PI, Excel, and One Note applications.
- Provide daily support to Operations relating to production accounting and volumetric reporting.
- Work closely with the Site Panel Operators to ensure compliance relating to accounting practices
- Complete the daily volume reconciliation process for sites.
- Maintain regulatory reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate the Daily Production Reviews with various District personnel.
- Develop and maintain Production Accounting Desk Manual processes.
- Review, investigate, and resolve front-end Energy Components data errors or issues.
- Complete Management of Change documentation when applicable.
- Ensure fixed data in Energy Components is representative and accurate e: g: new wells, pads, and meters.
- Complete Data Incident Reports where applicable.
- Conduct volumetric data reworks and documentation upon request.
- Work closely with measurement, operations, and engineering teams on measurement reviews and balancing issues.
- Assist in vacation coverage and backup requirements relating to the production accounting team.
- Other duties and special projects as required.
- C.A.P.P.A. (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting) designation.
- Minimum 5 years of heavy oil industry production accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Energetic and highly motivated, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
- Intermediate or higher level of MS Office 365 an asset.
- Consistently work safely.
