- Providing leadership and coaching to production supervisors and employees to meet all safety, environmental, quality, cost and service goals and objectives.
- Partnering with the Quality Control Coordinator to ensure that finished product meet all customer requirements through continuous improvement and utilization of the plant quality management system.
- Partnering with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure equipment reliability at optimal efficiency and cost.
- Providing leadership and support to the overall reliability strategy including the involvement of production employees in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Providing the leadership to maintain a highly engaged workforce. Partners with HR in areas of performance management, employee involvement, organizational change, staffing and employee development.
- Providing leadership to drive continuous improvement through the application of Lean Manufacturing concepts such as Kaizen events working directly with the production and maintenance teams.
- Assuring employee training (quality, safety, process, etc.) is effective and completed.
- Mentoring immediate direct reports and establishes an effective team that is accountable and capable to achieve all performance goals.
- Assuring plant housekeeping meets company standards and implements and maintains a 5S program to sustain improvements.
- Technical four-year degree
- Minimum of 5 -10 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives including Lean
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills
- Demonstrated team building talent and hands-on problem solving skills
- Ability to achieve results individually and as a member of a team
