What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program & Events, the Program & Events Associatewill assist in various components of event operations within the Advisor Channel Sales team with RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) including but not limited to reporting, registration, research, coordination and execution. What will you do?
Manage event reporting, data analysis and registration tracking
Support the Program & Events Managers with the planning and execution of events (virtual or in-person) including but not limited to administrative elements (i.e. sourcing venues, creating or updating templates, name badges, minutes from various conferences, compliance review, coordinating Seismic & The Product Report content)
Where applicable, take part in the planning of internal meetings (virtual or in-person) or provide support to other ACS team members (i.e. registration or sourcing)
Manage ACS events/initiatives calendar and premium inventory/order
Assist with other tasks as assigned
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
College or University degree in a related field (hospitality, tourism, marketing) and 1-2 years’ work experience in event planning or logistics
Advanced skills with sound working knowledge of PC platforms; high level of proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word)
Experience with online registration platform Aventri and/or virtual events with Webex
The successful candidate is well organized, able to manage multiple tasks and on-going projects, punctual and have a strong work ethic
Ability to work outside of normal work hours (ad hoc) and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Nice to Have
Bilingual, English & French
Base knowledge of National Instrument 81–105 in the mutual fund industry
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce
Interest in the financial industry
