Here's how a(n) Project Accountant for our Edmonton Industrial Management office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
-Reconcile and process all project-related accounts payable and other costing allocations.
-Assemble client billing packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and follow up to ensure timely payment.
-Subcontract Management: understand subcontract terms and conditions, audit subcontractor invoices and ensure subcontractors are paid within contract terms.
-Participate in monthly project forecast review meetings for assigned projects to provide input on project financial status.
-Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
-Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably in construction industry. 
-Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline preferred.
-Effective verbal and written communication skills required to interact with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners.
-Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a team environment.
-Strong organizational skills, detail orientated, and able to meet deadlines and requirements.
-Intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel and knowledge and experience with accounting software. Specific experience with Oracle/E1 an asset.
-Applicants must be willing to work on project sites out of town on varying shift rotations. Living out allowances or camp accommodations will be provided where applicable.
