Reporting to the Manager, Project Accounting and supporting Electricity, this role is for a leader and financial subject matter expert in capital accounting. The Supervisor will oversee capital work Electric D and Electric T. Major components of the role will include leading and mentoring Accountants, ensuring accuracy in deliverables, supporting regulatory proceedings, preparing annual business plans, monthly forecasts and analyzing financial information to support decision-making. Communication and collaboration skills will be required as relationships will be built with all levels of the organization.

What You Get to Do:
- Supervise, lead, and mentor Accountants and Analysts
- Work with finance, engineering, operational and regulatory teams throughout the business
- Prepare business plans, monthly forecasts and variance reporting
- Support the preparation of regulatory applications and IR responses
- Ensure timely and accurate project capitalizations through capital work in progress monitoring
- Ensure adherence to project controls through prevention and monitoring
- Monitor and release journal entries and review and approve monthly account reconciliations
- Improve processes to minimize data collection and maximize value add analysis
- Maintain a customer centric view when interacting with various groups across the company
Qualifications:
- A professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA, CPA)
- 5 - 8 years of related experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills that allow you to create partnerships with all levels of the organization
- Proven record of driving results and process improvements
- Previous experience with regulatory, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
- Understanding of regulated utility and project management concepts
- Proficiency in Excel, SmartView, and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)
- Experience with Oracle Project Accounting subledger
