Responsibilities:
- Directly communicate with project team members, including site superintendents, vendors, designers and consultants.
- Prepare, distribute, and track project documentation including daily email correspondence, purchase orders, change orders, RFI’s, etc.
- Effectively utilize software such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Having complete knowledge of all contracts, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, show drawings, schedules, labor agreements and local building codes.
- Maintain/update project bid list.
- Attend site meetings when necessary.
- Follow systems and procedures outlined in company directives.
- Organize workflow to meet deadlines and prioritize as such.
- Ability to create realistic schedules to support the timely completion of construction projects.
- Ability to mange coordination efforts in construction projects with various parties, such as architects, project engineers, and landscaping installers.
- Ability to read construction drawings and provide takeoffs.
- Ability to establish safety standards and policies as needed on varying job sites, while maintaining that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related government agencies an asset.
- Leading efforts to enhance safety throughout the company including monthly J.O.H.S committee meetings and weekly site visits considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in construction industry.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to interpret needs and express ideas clearly.
- Detail oriented, accurate and highly organized.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawing and specifications, building material and required standards applicable to discipline.
- Experience working on high-density residential construction projects is seen as an asset.
- Must be able to effectively mange competing priorities and timelines.
- Experience with Procore construction management software considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of construction health and safety knowledge an asset.
