SalaryNew Look Vision Group (“NVG”), headquartered in Montreal, Canada, is the leading provider of eye care products and services across Canada and is rapidly expanding in the United States. The Group has retail sales of optical products which can be grouped into four principal categories: (i) prescription and non-prescription eyewear, (ii) contact lenses, (iii) sunglasses, protective eyewear and reading glasses, and (iv) accessories, such as cleaning products for eyeglasses and contact lenses. The Group’s network of stores totals 470 locations, consisting of 413 locations in Canada and 57 in the United States. Prescription lenses are manufactured at the company’s central manufacturing and distribution facility located in Montreal.
Under the current leadership team, NVG has achieved outstanding operating and financial success. Since 2013 NVG’s store network has increased from 70 to 470 locations, primarily by way of acquisition, and its enterprise value has increased by over 10x, from approximately $100 million to in excess of $1 billion. This has resulted in significant value creation for its shareholders. During this same period, significant investments have been made in the existing store network, new stores, the laboratory, warehouse and distribution centre. The incumbent will have the mandate to ensure the logistics of orders in progress while respecting established procedures and standards.
Role :
Reporting to the PMO Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from design to delivery. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Main Responsibilities :
- Plans and oversees end-to-end delivery of assigned projects;
- Follows the processes for project definition, control, execution and closure, following the standards established by the PMO (based on Waterfall and Agile methodologies);
- Develops and implements project plans and specifications. Establish timelines and track all enforcement activities;
- Documents projects reviews, meetings, working sessions and action logs;
- Manages risks and establish appropriate mitigation actions;
- Builds strong relationships with project proponents and stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of solutions;
- Manages stakeholder’s expectations and contributions (Internet and/or external);
- Provides guidance and support to the project team;
- Communicates the status, risks and other project perspectives to the various stakeholders;
- Works closely with the PMO Director to prioritize projects and optimize processes and tools;
- Works closely with different teams to plan resources well
- Works with business units and functions to help plan, control and execute each phase and activity of projects according to best practices
Requirements :
- University degree in computer science, administration, finance, or other related field;
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a fast-paced business environment;
- Bilingual spoken and written (French and English);
- Understanding or practical experience in IT infrastructure, software development or web technologies;
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, MS Project, SmartSheet and Visio;
- PMP and PSM certifications (asset);
- Mastery of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
