Chudleigh’s Brand is seeking a dynamic and detailed buyer. This opportunity goes beyond the traditional purchasing/ reordering daily. You will be buying across multiple creative formats : A High volume fresh restaurant, sourcing own brand retail, and a trend setting cafe. Details really matter in this role. Fast paced and always active you will be based both in office and out in the entertainment area. As the Purchaser, you will be responsible for developing strategic purchasing programs, collaborating with teir one suppliers, and effectively managing the procurement process across multiple formats.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum 3-years experience with purchasing products within the food service industry
- Degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
- Previous experience with high volume, ordering and inventory is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Previous experience with Revel POS system is an asset
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and highly organized
- Analytical and forecasting experience
- Excellent time management and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with restaurant, retail, and cafe operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order products and supplies weekly, and entering purchase orders into the system
- Meet with vendors to negotiate the best contracts
- Be the main point of contact between warehouse and suppliers
- Create and send purchase orders to vendors before the order cut-off times
- Liase with vendors including coordinating the pick-up of year-end returns
- Building quality relationships with vendors
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising on quality.
- Sign off, code, and submit invoices to payables
- Generation of reports to support business decisions of the company.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery. Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Perform inventory checks on a regular basis and maintain minimum stock
- Review previous years sales to be able to forecast business needs
- Source new private label products, pkg and services
