Purchasing Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Purchase Order Management:
• Generate and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure that purchase orders are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Vendor Coordination:
• Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and address any issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecard.
• Price Negotiation:
• Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost-effective procurement.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant information.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in procurement is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
