CapsCanada® is presently looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our team and welcomes applicants to apply.
The Position is Monday to Friday 8 hours per day. Additional hours may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the purchase order procedure for all facilities.
- Consolidate requisitions and place Purchase Orders (POs) with Vendors once approved.
- Ensure POs for Raw Materials are placed with Approved Vendors list from Quality Department and ensure each PO
- Distribute Purchase Orders to appropriate departments.
- Updated vendor file information as required.
- Maintain Vendor Scorecard data.
- Map the incoming Cargo Flows at least annually and when needed for CTPAT & PIP-PEP.
- Assist the Systems & Inventory Control Analyst as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with all Company safety rules, Provincial and Federal rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma business, finance, accounting, supply management or similar field from an accredited Community College or;
- 3 + years experience in a purchasing role
- Experience in manufacturing required, preferably Pharma Manufacturing is an asset.
- Logistics/inventory experience is considered an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency in corporate computer software's including (Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with ERP systems and other purchasing/inventory software is a must
- Possesses strong mathematical aptitude
- Experience with negotiations
- Experience dealing with suppliers/vendors
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and high degree of professionalism and integrity
- Possesses problem solving skills and sound professional judgement with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required along with the personality, confidence and background to work in a total team environment.
- Possess a valid G Driver’s license
