SalaryWestfine Meats Inc. is looking for Quality Assurance Monitor with SQF certification. You will assist in supervising and documenting the pre-requisite program, monitoring CCP's and verifying that all food safety protocols are being met. The ideal candidate will be energetic, well-organized, self-motivated, and a team player.
This position works Monday - Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Shift starting and ending times will vary.

What You'll Do
- Support and assist with the implementation of Food & Safety Programs as per CFIA & SFCR requirements
- Conduct pre-op inspection and verify the effectiveness of the cleaning program
- Assisting in the development, maintenance, and implementation of pre-requisite programs
- Premises program
- Purchasing, Receiving, Storage and Shipping Program
- Equipment Program & Personal Program
- Sanitation and pest control program
- Recall program
- Allergen control program (if applicable)
- Coordinate and prepare meat samples for laboratory testing
- Assist in planning shelf-life studies on product
- Participate for HACCP meetings when possible
- Coordinate with CFIA for CVS tasks and appropriate and prompt response for verification and Corrective action requests
- Any other job duties assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager from time to time.
What You Bring
- SQF Certification
- Previous experience with BRC, SQF, HACCP and or GMP audits
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for an entire work shift
- Strong safety conscience
- A level of comfort working in an animal processing plant
- Willing to work both Harvest and Fabrication Floor
- Ability to handle strong odors
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic Microsoft Office skills or equivalent.
- Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs)
- Enjoy working on a team
Familiarity with CFIA regulations
