Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Lead
*This is a project-based work*
CIMS Limited Partnership is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, leadership experience, and the ability to implement and mentor Quality initiatives to join us as a Quality Control Lead.
As the Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Lead, you will report to the Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control and oversee quality department activities at your specific location. Your role will involve creating and maintaining a quality-conscious environment, implementing and upholding sound quality guidelines, practices, and procedures, and ensuring top-notch quality across all projects. Additionally, you will support the project management team in QA/QC matters and provide work leadership and training to other inspectors.
You will report to Director of Quality Assurance/ Quality Control and be accountable for:
- Provides Quality Assurance (QA) leadership and direction to QA and staff in their location.
- Mentors and develops the QA/QC team in their location.
- Allocates QA/QC resources to various projects and project sites in their location.
- Creates and sustains a quality-conscious environment.
- Lives the CIMS corporate values by demonstrating a professional and respectful workplace and promoting collaboration, innovation and engagement.
You are the ideal candidate for this role if you:
- CWB Level 2 mandatory requirement.
- The following endorsements would be an asset:
- ASME B31.3 - requirements for oil and gas transmission pipelines, processing piping and related steel structures
- ASME B31.1 – requirements for inspection of power and auxiliary service piping systems for electric generation stations, industrial institutional plants, central and district heating plants. (Boiler external Piping, Furnaces, etc.)
- ASME VII & IX – requirements for Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Welder Testing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and 5 years in QA/QC supervision.
- Advanced knowledge of machine capability requirements.
- Interact with others to coordinate work and exchange information during quality meetings.
- Interact with others to monitor progress and correct work that does not meet quality standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements is an asset. Use computer applications to monitor quality.

- Leadership and Mentorship: Your capability to lead and mentor other inspectors, providing guidance, support, and training to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Compliance: Your adherence to all relevant quality regulations, standards, and procedures, ensuring that all work is compliant and meets regulatory requirements.
- Problem-Solving: Your proficiency in identifying and resolving quality-related issues and implementing preventive measures to avoid future issues.·
- Communication: Your ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and stakeholders regarding quality matters, providing clear and concise reports and recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Your commitment to continuous improvement, seeking out opportunities to enhance quality processes, procedures, and outcomes.

Salary: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
