Overview:
The Quality Assurance Person (QAP) will report to the Quality Assurance Director and work cross-functionally with various departments within Operations to ensure the Company and its employees, vendors and partners produce and sell products that are safe and compliant with all regulations and internal procedures. The QAP will ensure the completion of record keeping and administrative tasks, perform testing and QA/QC procedures on product and materials, calibrate test equipment, amongst other day-to-day operational and compliance duties as required.
The QAP has strong knowledge of operational compliance, has experience working in a high-output production/manufacturing, and can work within the Executive and Operation teams in developing, implementing and maintaining records and systems to support and facilitate the growth of the Company's output. The Employee will maintain a solutions-focused, collaborative approach at all times, and will employ excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently but also well with team members, troubleshoot and solve problems quickly, and be able to multitask throughout the day.
General:
Be available to work onsite at the Company's production facility, and to travel to other places of business as required from time to time, for the benefit of the Company.

Consistently keep work and shared areas clean and organized, including your normal desk/workstation, shared workstations, cleaning/production stations, lunchroom and bathrooms, etc.
Hire, train and oversee direct reports, as applicable.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Quality Assurance Director and working cross-functionally with the Operations team.
Assisting the Operations Teams to ensure the production unit (including product onboarding, processing of product, packaging, order picking and fulfillment) are completed compliantly and efficiently.
Reviewing testing, validation and data collection procedures; revising as necessary.
Performing manual and automated quality checks.
Conducting inspection checks on goods and production processes and ensuring onsite personnel adhere to safety and quality regulations.
Calibrating, operating and cleaning testing equipment.
Troubleshooting issues and problems that arise in a logical, risk-assessment based manner, using a triage strategy that prioritizes solutions that contribute to the benefit of the Company.
Developing and refining processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and increase customer value, for both existing operations and for new production that comes online.
Ensuring the day-to-day compliance and completion of all operational duties related to the Licenses with Health Canada, especially as it pertains to record keeping, security, health and safety, regular reporting and general compliance.
Being present on the licensed site when required for the benefit of the Company to satisfy any obligations related to holding a Security Clearance and its associated privileges (as applicable).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations, especially as they pertain to Quality Assurance and Compliance under Health Canada, Canada Revenue Agency, and any other applicable government regulatory body.

Salary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
