Quality Control (QC) Inspector

ANDRITZ Ltd., a subsidiary of ANDRITZ AG in Austria, is a leading Refiner Service Center supporting the North American Pulp and Paper industry. As the OEM, we are responsible for supporting our customers’ businesses with new and rebuilt equipment as well as technical experience. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Quality Control (QC) Inspector for our team-oriented industrial facility.
The QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming goods for conformity to product specifications. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical and technical background, and proven experience utilizing precision measurement instruments to measure machined components is a large portion of this role.
Responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to the following:

• Inspection of incoming materials to print, PO & other specified documents.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with a good understanding of GD&T
• Excellent knowledge and use of measuring tools
• Experience in problem solving techniques, quality systems
• Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as required

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for:

• 3 to 5 years' experience as an inspector working on large assemblies and equipment
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience
• Previous machining experience an asset
• Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry an asset
