The Quality Control Inspector works under the direction of the Quality Supervisor and will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the parts and finished goods conform to quality guidelines as designated by the Quality department. A Quality Control Inspector ensures conformance of raw materials and finished products, assists in troubleshooting, and communicates the updates to the operations team.

- Perform daily checks on Blenders, Extruders, CNC, and assembly lines.
- Inspects, test, and report in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement inspections communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
- Inspects, test, and report results from incoming materials by confirming specifications for visual and measurement tests.
- Promptly responding to “Stop, Call, wait” requests coming from the floor.
- Ensure transactional steps are done in SAP in case parts/products are quarantined from the process or quality deviations.
- Inspect and log results from the WeCare replacement parts process in production.
- Assist in quality training activities as part of Quality Thursday.
- Train production team members on Quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Draft procedures, work instructions, forms, and other documents when necessary.
- Send daily shift report providing status of processes running on Night shift.
- Ensure non-conforming parts samples are labeled and left in the QA lab for further investigation.
- Assist in Built-in Quality projects and perform Kaizen activities.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and a minimum of 1-year experience in Quality is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with all functions and levels at the plant.
- Quality inspection and testing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Outlook and MS Excel.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with cross-functional teams.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally may maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job may include but are not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Must be able to stand continuously for the duration of the scheduled shift.
