Quality Technician

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Auditing – Dock, Product, Process audits & system audits as applicable

· Receiving Audits – Raw Material and Subcontractor

· Provide support on daily production quality issues as they arise on the shop floor

o Execution of visual aids

o IIS’s for each process and product (for all work centers from press to packaging)

o Rework Instructions

o Creating, training and issuing Quality Alerts

· Creation of sort/rework instructions & operator/inspector orientation for rework

· Coordination of Safe Launch activity (ie. GP-12)

· Responsible for daily review and coordination of Held product. (ie. MRB)

· Assist in Corrective Action / Problem Solving/ Continual Improvements

· Revalidation of products as required

· Gauge Program

o Manage work instructions and labeling gauges & storage locations

o Participate Gauge R&R studies

o Calibrate (S.E Management)

· Conduct capability studies as required

· Operation of the CMM

· Responsible for weld integrity inspections and maintenance of documents to support

· Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly inventory of the Held area (managing the area, transactions of product in/out)

· Maintain QA lab neatness and functionality

· Comply with company policies and procedures

· Other tasks as assigned by management

Initial Qualifications for Hire:

· Must have:

o Grade 12 diploma

o Experience in manufacturing quality assurance

o Efficient in Microsoft office

o Valid drivers license and passport

o Strong organizational skills

· Preference:

o Post secondary education in manufacturing quality assurance (CQA; CMI; CTE)

o Strong metrology skills

Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and Internal Auditing

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.90-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
