Purpose:
The Records Clerk is a key member of the Recruitment & Admissions team in the Division of Student Services & International Relations at the Schulich School of Business. The role maintains both digital and print files for all applicants to, as well as students and graduates of Schulich's suite of programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The Records Clerk is also responsible for a variety of clerical work within the Division, including but not limited to opening and date stamping mail, ordering office supplies, and locating files as requested by staff members within the Division.
Education:
Secondary school graduation with minimum of 1-2 years of post-secondary education, or equivalent.
Experience:
Two years recent related experience in an academic environment, preferably in a university Admissions Department setting. Experiences in cross-referencing and verification of computer data including accurate on-line data entry, word processing, working with spreadsheets, email and other general office computer software.
Skills:
Demonstrated skill/ability in the following area. Knowledge of post-secondary education systems, evaluating information to formulate and present an appropriate response, accurate on-line data entry skills and knowledge of a large computerized record system (e.g., SIS), Typing 50 wpm., accuracy essential, word processing skills, effective oral/written communication skills, exercising tact and diplomacy, proven ability to deal professional telephone manner, good organization skills, attending accurately to detail and working effectively under pressure of high volume, exercising good judgement and initiative, maintaining confidentiality. Proficient knowledge of MS Office. Advanced skills in Word, intermediate in Excel, MS Access, Email and the internet. Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
