You’ll love it here! We are hiring immediately for a Remote Technical Support Representative, which we call a remote services agent, to join our team of passionate technology experts who install, fix, solve, and enhance technology products via phone and chat for clients across Canada!

Join us at Geek Squad (the technical service organization of Best Buy Canada). We are looking for people just like you, to provide help desk and Technical Support to our clients.

As a Remote Technical Support technician, which we call a remote services agent, you are able to:

  • Be available to work 24 hours, or more, per week, until August 31, 2024, from the comfort of your own home
  • Work between 4 and 5 shifts that are 8.5 hours in length and start between 4pm and 8pm pacific time

As a 24/7/365 business we require flexibility from our agents. Shifts are up to 8.5 hours in length with starts between 4pm and 8pm pacific time. One night of weekend availability is a must.

As a remote services agent, you will create an amazing customer experience in our call center by:

  • Identifying and recommending solutions based on customers’ individual needs
  • Facilitating the complete solution of product repair, troubleshooting, upgrades, installations, and other services using an online portal and remote desktop software
  • Tutoring clients on the proper and optimal use of their products
  • Completing training as required to continuously improve the experience for clients
  • Having fun while being the best – you believe that positivity drives productivity and work should be stimulating

You come ready with…

  • 1+ years of call center or help desk experience
  • Experience in troubleshooting and/or repairing clients’ devices
  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work 24+ hours per week over 4 to 5 shifts overnight shifts that begin between 4pm and 8pm PST

  • A personal computer with monitor, speakers, and anti-virus software (PC must be running Windows 8 or newer, Mac computers must be running 10.13 or newer)
  • Subscription to a high-speed, hard-wired internet connection
  • A USB or 3.5mm PC headset
  • A webcam for team meetings and ongoing training
  • A door – Home offices are required to be private and quiet, and not located in your living room
