YOUR CHALLENGES :
- Conduct analyses of microbiological, chemical and physical tests at different stages of production;
- Collect environmental samples (water, air, phages, surfaces, tools and fingers);
- Plate, identify, incubate and read different samples;
- Send results out of specs;
- Prepare and send samples for external analysis;
- Ensure follow-up with the external laboratory;
- Maintain the proper functioning of equipment used in the laboratory;
- Calibrate equipment;
- Perform all required tasks.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- College diploma in food science or other relevant combination of training and work experience;
- Have taken courses in microbiology or laboratory techniques;
- Experience in a similar position, preferably in a dairy/food industry;
- Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques;
- Good organizational skills;
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite;
- Bilingual.
Status: Contract, 18 months, Full Time
Work Schedule: Days, evenings and weekend rotation*
*Schedule can change to accommodate operational needs.
Condition of Employment: Candidates are required to complete a criminal background check, which is an essential condition to work at St-Albert Cheese Co-op. Details will be provided during the application process.
