About the role
Responsibilities
Participate in the development of innovative strategies to achieve corporate objectives by providing information on our customers' needs through optimal research methods.
Synthesize data from multiple sources and translate research results into actionable information. May provide organizational and administrative support to the Design Research team.
May participate in the planning, organization and coordination of events.
Promote design-inspired initiatives to reinforce and create a customer-centric dynamic throughout the organization.
Participate in the development of compelling stories and visuals to communicate ideas, engage stakeholders and inspire teams.
Help organize qualitative user research and ethnographic studies: interviews, usability tests, diary studies, A/B testing, focus group moderation, situational observation, interviews, workshops and various forms of prototype evaluation, etc.
What you'll accomplish with us :
Help guide our strategy and innovation efforts by making recommendations on customer needs through qualitative and quantitative research.
Work closely with designers, product managers, data analysts and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize research avenues
Scope, plan, implement and manage research through customer and stakeholder interviews, user testing, daily recording analysis, surveys, competitor analysis, workshops, etc.
Synthesize data from multiple sources and translate research findings into actionable recommendations and concepts.
Present recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from peers to executives.
Establish links with different teams to ensure that previous, current and future research is fully leveraged.
Contribute to our user research by improving our processes, models and communications, and by transferring knowledge to colleagues.
Promote customer commitment throughout the organization.
What you'll get out of it:
Minimum of one year's experience in user research, User experience design, service design and market research.
Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative user research methods: research, user interviews, user testing scenarios, contextual surveys, etc.
Expertise in usability and user-centered design practices.
Experience in data analysis or statistical analysis an asset.
Passion for targeting, unpacking and solving complex problems.
Team spirit, ability to work in a collaborative environment, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
Eager to learn, to try out new tools and approaches, and to perfect your craft.
Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity.
You're patient and a good listener, a good communicator, present things in an engaging way and deliver interesting stories.
Ability to interact with people at different levels of the organization, from peers to executives.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Bilingualism required (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
